ScottishApartment.com’s Queen Street signs cause car accidents in Edinburgh. One BMW driver was so distracted by their attractive design he swerved, causing a 5-car pile up on Queen Street at 1220 today. BMW tout their cars as 'the ultimate driving machine' - here it seems to have gone a bit wrong. Ultimate crash machine, anyone?

Police were quick on the scene, but not before the drivers of the two main cars had a chance to have a wee word. A black BMW crashed into the rear driver’s side of a hatchback white Nissan and scraped a silver sportscar's rear wheel.

Appearances suggest that the accident was caused by the black BMW overtaking whilst the white Nissan tried to manouvere right, exiting the bus lane. Two other cars were involved. One was cannonned into by the white Nissan, and this car then rear ended a second.
