Open Doors Day, 27 September 2008: sneak preview
If you like Neighbours and go for Edinburgh apartment viewings just for a nose, you’ll love Edinburgh’s Doors Open Day 2008.
On Saturday 27 September over 70 of Edinburgh’s most interesting buildings will allow FREE public entry. From the fascinating Royal Observatory to the beautifully restored Mansfield Traquair Centre, Edinburgh has a generous helping of treasures for you to discover.
Doors Open Day is organised by the Cockburn Association (Edinburgh’s civic trust). Depending on the building, there are talks and taster sessions.
Try before you buy. If you want to check out what your Open Doors Day might include, just go to the cockburnassociation's website. There’s details of all the buildings involved in Doors Open Day 2008. You’ll find Google Maps to make it easier to locate each building and plan your day. PLUS there’s even a Flickr collection of photos showing buildings which took part in 2007 and are taking part this year.
