Honey I Shrunk Murrayfield

600 seats will be lost from Scotland’s Home of Rugby. Big screens will replace supporters in Edinburgh's West End stadium from mid-November 2008 onwards. Regular supporters are to be rewarded for their loyalty by being rejected from their long-held seats in Edinburgh’s rugby centre.

Magic disappearing act. The news comes as Murrayfield signs a 2-year deal for prestigious rugby Super League fixtures to be located in Edinburgh. Murrayfield Magic is a weekend of top super league action, with the first matches to be held 2-3 May 2009.

Brian Kennedy, the Edinburgh-born millionaire owner of Guinness Premiership club Sale Sharks has called for the instatement of a THIRD professional rugby union team in Scotland. Could this be in Edinburgh?
