Edinburgh architects spend 40% of their time on the toilet. Well – designing it when they work on a hotel in the capital. And that money’s got to be recouped somehow. So advertising in Edinburgh toilets is big business, with a well, captive audience. How do Edinburgh’s hotels, bars and restaurants measure up?

It’s even got to the extent that an Edinburgh public toilet, bucking the credit crunch trend has been attracting a huge amount of interest as an Edinburgh property. The last bid of £15,000 was rejected outright – it looks like the most likely use could be as advertising space. Buy yourself a wee Edinburgh property.
