Edinburgh's adrenaline-addicts are back in town - find evidence of real obsession with the outdoors at the Edinburgh Mountain Film Festival 2008. Highlights for 2008 include Mark Beaumont, the Scot who cycled round the world and Echo Wall, a film of Dave MacLeod's latest E-rated exploits with a cracking soundtrack.

If you're interested in more snow-related adventures, catch Chris Townsend, President of the Mountaineering Council of Scotland. A long-distance hiker, Chris will share stories of his Pacific Crest Trail and the Continental Divide Trail plus ski-touring.
