Edinburgh festival apartment accommodation for August 2008Edinburgh Festival Apartments

Harbour-City Centre Bus Service

From 6 April 2008, Lothian Buses have extended their routes. Buses now run from Western Harbour, right by our Harbour Apartments into Edinburgh City Centre. There are 6 buses every hour, right to your door if you stay at:

This is a great development as it means Harbour Apartment guests can now get into the city for as little as £1.10 (adult single) or 60p (child single). Alternatively you can buy a day ticket for £2.50 (adult) or £2 (child). Scottish National Concession card holders can travel free at all times, they just need to show their pass to the driver.

All buses should be wheelchair accessible, and provide both the facility to lower and space for the storage of wheelchairs, pushchairs and luggage.

The buses are easily recognisable, and bear the Lothian buses livery of white and burgundy. Their route sign on the front of the bus will be Torphin 10 or Bonaly 10.

Western Harbour Tourist Attractions

Even if you’re not staying down at Harbour Apartments, here are a whole pile of reasons that you might want to use this service:

  • Royal Yacht Britannia: stationed at Leith
  • Ocean Terminal: shopping centre, cinemas plus dining and drinking
  • Home of Hibernian Football Club: catch a game while you’re in town.
