What normally pays for a penthouse suite will only get you a park bench.
Beer mysteriously gets more expensive every year at the end of July.
And even if you can afford a pint after paying for your park bench the city is:
Ask anyone in Edinburgh what the trams mean to them and they'll answer "roadworks and delays", most probably with a sour faced expression too.

Namaste just off George IV Bridge and Guru in Dalry are up there for Indian food where you actually taste the food, not just super-hot spices or a bland creamy sauce.
For Sushi there are a couple of choices, I’d go for Sushiya just up from Haymarket train station but I’ve been told No.1 Sushi on Lothian Road is worth checking out.
